Hey, what is going on my people? We're back again with another week in the life of a really boss missionary.
Anways this week we have so many miracles soo let's get started.
The first miracle happened when we were going to a lesson with a friend and I had a feeling we needed to change plans. We did and ended up running into another friend we haven't seen in a while, who knows why, but it's like he's some magician playing tricks with the missionaries. Anyway, we end up knocking on a door and who opens up? Our lost friend. My dude was just sleeping the siesta soo he don't got pants on, but he gets all fixed up and we sit down and start a lesson. Let me tell you, the spirit I felt in that lesson was like no other. It was crazy too because everything we were talking about was happening to him right then which was crazy. At the end of the lesson, he's like, "I promise you, I will come to church Sunday." We're like "Bet, dude." Me and Elder Espinoza were on a spiritual high for the rest of the day, and it was epic.
At the next lesson, the wife really wanted to attend church, but the husband was like, hahaha no. So the wife shut down, which sucked, but ehh what can you do?
The next day we were out contacting before we had a lesson. We have this point, we knock it, a dude opens up, and we get talking. Well, I go to give him a pamphlet and BAM! a DOG BITES MY LEG. Luckily it didn't hurt that bad, but man am I so annoyed with Argentine dogs! It's like all of them are on crack and the only way to stay normal is to attack Elder Mergenthaler. But I gave the guy a pamphlet, so I'm ok with being bitten. Later that day, we have a lesson with a member so we ride over there in his car. During the lesson, it felt off and kind of weird. At the end of the lesson, we say the prayer, and the door slams right open (BTW it was shut closed before). Like 5 minutes later, these puppies walk in, so I took this as my sign to boot myself out of there and never come back. I asked my companion what he felt, and it was the exact same off feeling, sooo there you go! A dog bit me and God opened the door for me.
One last miracle that happened was when we were contacting on the street this week. We ended up talking to this old guy because old guys listen, but it turns out this guy is one of our friend's Dad and he seems really interested, so we tell him we're gonna pass by another day. Well, little did I know Elder Espinoza was trying to get into contact with this guy for a long time because people in our ward told him she felt in the temple that he need to be taught. So, we caught up with him again this week and scheduled a lesson. That was a huge miracle for us.
