Yes, Two Posts in One Night

OK, I'm still learning how this works. I wanted to just throw some pictures up with descriptions, but I'm blogger illiterate.

The pictures from the last post are from our long drive from Seattle to Iowa City. We stopped in Helena, MT to visit Rick's Grandparents. It was so good to see them. We had a great visit there.

When we got here, our house was in the middle of a major remodel, so we lived with a month of choas--no appliances, boxes of stuff, eating out on the back porch. That's some of the pictures.

Ricky got a nasty black eye playing at the school playground. He looked pretty cool for a couple of weeks. Emily spent the first couple weeks creating things with boxes. In addition to the dollar store, she made a fun slide for Andrew (it really works), a trampoline, a chair, and a couple of other buildings.

I think I'm going to leave it at that for tonight. My first impression of blogging is correct--it is time intensive and I have other, more important things I should be doing.

I'll get back to this another day!!

Gavin in a Million Words or Less

Way back when Emily was in 6th grade, her teacher, Ms. Grey, asked parents to write about thier children in a million words or less. I posted what I wrote about Emily on our blog. I wish I were more organized and tech-savvy to find the link to that post and put it here, but I'm not. It's a nice idea that maybe I'll do later. Anyway, you get to read what I wrote to Gavin's fifth grade teacher who made the same requests of parents: Gavin is the youngest of seven children.
