Last weekend, we drove 4 1/2 hours to Kansas City for Rick's cousin's wedding. The kids were really good for the drive--especially since we drove there on Friday and drove back on Saturday. Andrew was especially good considering his age. We found some of Ricky's gloves in the car and Andrew thought they looked pretty cute on his feet.
There were very few children at the wedding because most of the people attending had babysitters or older children. We were grateful that our children were very well behaved for the ceremony and at the dinner. They used their best manners and we were glad to be able to bring them along without worrying too much about what they might do (or spill).
The wedding and reception went late into the night. The kids were tired, but they didn't act up. I would have expected Andrew to get a little crazier as the night wore on but he was a perfect gentleman.
Ricky was also a gentleman. He is probably the most social child we have. He made the rounds to all the people he knew. He made sure to visit Grandpa and Grandma Landers, talk to Aunt Tina and Uncle Rob and their little Alexander, and he didn't forget Aunt Cheryle and Uncle Troy (parents of the bride whom he fondly calls Grandma and Grandpa sometimes).

2. Swimming at the hotel (no pictures of that one, but that really was one of the highlights of the trip).

Eating at restaurants: Culver's on the way there and Red Robin on the way back.

When we went to Cheryle and Troy's on Saturday, the kids made a beeline to the backyard to visit their good friend. They love that dog and he loves them. He was so happy to have those kids out there to play with him.
