I made a goal a while ago to update the blog once a month. I hoped to have something interesting to share—some deep thought or funny story or inspiring lesson. Sometimes I can write those things, but lately it’s all I can do to throw some pictures on.

I got a few kids to join me on a Sunday morning walk.

Klaus is healthy and growing and settling in well.

We have a mouse problem. I’m hoping Klaus will get to work soon. He’s super aggressive at chasing, catching, and bringing me fallen leaves, so there’s hope. This cheeky guy watched me clean the pool the other day.
Gavin and Brooklyn spent some time unpacking costumes.
But they didn’t really put them away anywhere. Oh well, they had a good time playing together.

That’s about it. My title implies some pretty fall pictures. The changing leaves are lovely. I’ll try to snap a few pictures over the next week or two and throw them at the end of this post or next month’s post.
Later in the week.…

Maybe next month I’ll have some nice driveway pics. This is what it looks like now:
We are still in survival mode here—have been for over a year. Still have contractors at our house every day. Still not making significant progress unpacking because every day life isn’t providing time to do the extra stuff.
But we still have some good times.
Gavin did a good job helping me clean paint dust off windows.

The big kitty who came with our house is learning to trust us. We can pet him now when he’s eating. He’s very old and very rough looking but nice and gentle with the kids.
We have plenty of wildlife sightings here—just not as dangerous as Arizona’s rattlesnakes, Javelina, or scorpions.
This is a spotted salamander.

Ricky dressed as Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid to be on a Disney themed float in the high school homecoming parade.

Here are a few fall pics. I’m waiting for the trees on our driveway to turn and for more reds to show up on the hillside. It’s been cloudy and rainy lately, too, so the vibrancy that shows when the sun is shining is dimmed.
