I thought we had a stalker visiting our blog. A few weeks ago, we had a visitor from Ardmore, Alabama. I didn't think much of it until Ardmore starting visiting every few days for a couple of weeks. Who was this person? Did I know them? This mystery has been at the back of my mind for a few weeks. I queried my Facebook friends, "Which one of you is from Alabama?" . . . . no answer . . . I posted on our blog, "If you are from Ardmore, and I know you, let me know." . . . no answer . . .
Well, the mystery is solved! I will tell you how the Mergenthaler Investigative Team put together the pieces, but it will take a little bit of explaining about how technology is used in our home. We have a laptop computer and a desktop computer. I usually use the laptop upstairs in the kitchen, but my e-mail is on the desktop computer in the basement. Because I can "remote connect" the laptop to the desktop, I rarely go down to the basement unless I have to print something off or restart the computer.
So, a few days ago, I was in the basement during nap time printing some things off for stake primary and for my upcoming preschool lessons. I put our blog up so that I could listen to the music on it while I was down there working. I glanced through the Feedjit updates on the side bar and Ardmore, Alabama was on the blog at the same time!! I e-mail Rick, "Ardmore is visiting the blog. Do you think they will leave a comment so that we know who they are?" I quickly read through some of the other things on the sidebar. I noticed that "The Happy Housewife" had posted something about toys being for sale at Amazon for 70% off, so I clicked on it thinking that maybe we could get a jump on our Christmas shopping. I didn't have much time, though, so I quickly closed the window and went back upstairs to check more things off my ever-growing to-do list.
Later that night, I commented to Rick, "I haven't checked my e-mail since this afternoon. Do you think Ardmore spoke up?" He said he doubted it, but he thought it was weird because Ardmore had visited one of the other blogs we look at from time to time. I got on the blog to investigate and discovered that Ardmore had visited "The Happy Housewife" just like I did . . . . Hey! What's going on here? After further investigation, which required me to get on the blog from the basement computer, we discovered that our stalker, Ardmore, Alabama was none other than . . . me!! How our basement computer's location got changed to Ardmore is another mystery, for the Mergenthaler Investigative Team to solve at another time.
So, we know who Ardmore is, and it turns out we like them just fine!
