How's the weather in Iowa???

From the moment Emily found out we were moving to Iowa, she has been waiting for the snow. I'm not exactly sure why she loves playing in the snow so much, but her wishes for snow finally came true.

We were surprised to wake up this morning to find snow on the ground. Yes, winter is here and I still don't think I'm ready. We thought we finally had the kids outfitted for winter with warm coats, hats, scarves, and mittens. But, when I saw the snow this morning I realized I neglected to think of snow pants and boots. I guess the kids are supposed to bring snow pants to school with them to wear for recess. They go out to recess every day unless the temperature is below 5 degrees.

Gavin in a Million Words or Less

Way back when Emily was in 6th grade, her teacher, Ms. Grey, asked parents to write about thier children in a million words or less. I posted what I wrote about Emily on our blog. I wish I were more organized and tech-savvy to find the link to that post and put it here, but I'm not. It's a nice idea that maybe I'll do later.
